You can use this Certificate Key Matcher to check whether a private key matches a certificate or whether a certificate matches a certificate signing request (CSR). When you are dealing with lots of different certificates it can be easy to lose track of which certificate goes with which private key or which CSR was used to generate which certificate. Your private key is intended to remain on the server. While we try to make this process as secure as possible by using SSL to encrypt the key when it is sent to the server, for complete security, we recommend that you manually check the public key hash of the private key on your server using the OpenSSL commands above.
